Our 200 Hour training is more than an education in asana. We take a deep inquiry into all eight limbs of the yogic path, including yoga sutras, an intro to Sankhya philosophy, and the personal reflections that go along with it. You’ll leave knowing not only so much more about yoga, but even more about who you are.
The eight limbed path, including asana, yama, niyama, pranayama and meditation
Principles of alignment for all asana categories, including inversions
The language of teaching, guiding, and adjustments
Hands-on assists
Sequencing vinyasa, restorative, and hatha yoga classes
Anatomy, both physical and subtle body
Tons of practice, learning, fun and deepening of your study
Ayurveda
Yoga is the science of spirituality and the mind, while Ayurveda is actually the science of life and the body. In this training, you’ll begin (or continue!) to incorporate the brilliance of Ayurveda into your own life and teaching.
What is Ayurveda? We’ll start at the beginning with Ayurveda’s origins all the way to its modern day applications
The tridoshas. Investigate how vata, pitta, and kapha show up in YOU and how you can incorporate that knowledge into your practice and teaching
Seasonality and the flow of time. Rooted in nature, Ayurveda can illuminate a new way to look at the flow of the day, the year, and your life. You’ll learn how to incorporate seasonal rituals and appropriate adjustments.
Foods and herbal medicines. No discussion of Ayurveda is complete without food! We’ll introduce the six tastes and foundational herbal medicines for your personal exploration.
