The root of the Chicory plant is used as a source of inulin fiber, which is a prebiotic fiber. Inulin travels through the stomach and small intestine without being metabolized, until it reaches the large intestine, where it becomes food for probiotics. Thus, prebiotics help support the balance of "good" bacteria in your gut by giving probiotics something to eat! It may also prevent constipation, act as a mild diuretic, and help lower cholesterol.

Ingredient: Certified Organic Chicory Root

Directions For Use: Use chicory root as a coffee substitute by using 1-2 tbsp chicory root to 8 oz of water. Brew for 5 minutes or longer for a stronger taste.
