The leaves of this perennial creeper are used medicinally. Gotu Kola always grows near water and the leaves are said to resemble the feet of a frog or a cerebellum. This is telling as this powerful herb is known for strengthening the intellect, enhancing the mind and soothing the nervous system. It is also well known for its balancing effect on skin conditions, like eczema, urticaria, acne, inflammatory conditions, cellulite, and wounds. Contains saponins, oligosaccharides, and phytosterols.
