Thunderbolt Ayurveda's Commitments
Leah Kaplan established Thunderbolt Ayurveda in 2014 in Nashville, TN. In 2016, the company relocated to Petaluma, CA, where it remains, headquartered in Leah’s office in downtown Petaluma. With a passion for bringing all things Ayurveda into the world, Leah had a vision of an online marketplace where her clients could easily assemble all the items they needed to support their Ayurvedic journey, in one easy-to-use, beautiful and inspiring online space. With a dash of good humor and a strong philosophy that the spiritual journey towards health is about getting real and mystical at the same time, Thunderbolt Ayurveda hopes to make Ayurveda accessible to everyone, with no boundaries.
Product Standards
All of our products are held to the highest standards of purity and bliss. The ingredients on the label are what’s inside the product, no more and no less. We source herbs, tinctures and essential oils from companies that we trust 110% and have total transparency in their own processes. All products are individually handmade in Petaluma, CA so we know exactly what goes into each and every bottle, jar, and dropper.
Our formulas and products are simple, effective, and pure. You’ll notice there aren’t any ingredients that you can’t pronounce (OK, it might take you a few tries to say Mahanarayan correctly) and none that you can’t trace back to Mama Earth directly.

Sustainability
All of our products are intentionally packaged in amber glass bottles rather than plastic to minimize our impact on Mama Earth and also keep your products as pure and safe as possible. The brown color of the glass provides protection from the sun, extending the shelf life of your oils. We recommended storing them out of the sun, too.
Our labels were specifically chosen for their ability to withstand oily drips and also be removable, so you can reuse that bottle again.
In packaging your order, we value both the safe arrival of your products and the impact on Mama Earth equally. That’s why we choose shipping materials that are either made from recycled materials or can be recycled or reused by you. And we use the minimum amount of material needed to get your items to you in top notch condition. All the paper stock we use for our cards and inserts is 100% recycled with 30% post-consumer waste paper. Our packing peanuts are compostable and dissolve in water.
Thank you for caring about our Mama Earth as much as we do by recycling and reusing our shipping materials.
