Ayurveda began 5,000 - 10,000 years ago, making it the oldest (and wisest!) system of medicine on the planet. And while It is very difficult to name the exact origins of Ayurveda, without question it has the classical philosophies of Indian culture at its root, including Hinduism, Vedanta, and Samkhya.

The word Ayurveda translates to the science or wisdom of life. What does that mean? Well, it’s an entire system for how to handle life: your physical health, your mental and emotional resiliency, your spiritual life, your contribution to the world around you, and the wellness of all beings everywhere (including you!).
